My Story

My background is bilingual and multi-cultural - a traditional Afrikaans home and primary school in the Cape followed by an English high school education.

Influenced by some truly superb teachers over the years, as well as by a long line of educators in my family, I was drawn to teaching from the start. With a BA from UCT and a teaching qualification from Tukkies. I have lectured, taught high school students and handled corporate communication and public relations for a variety of companies.

Then I retired and returned to my first love - teaching. I enjoy being able to guide young minds, to fill gaps in their understanding, to foster appreciation of languages and their relevance in cultural contexts, and to do so memorably and enjoyably.
